Ava had her first road trip to Cleveland yesterday. Dave, Katie and Alayna were in town for a wedding and Katie's Grandpa's 85th birthday party, so we, along with Tim and Michaela, crashed the party. It was so nice to see everyone again. My niece Alayna is just the sweetest 5 month old ever! She laughs and the whole room laughs with her. I'm so glad she and Katie were able to visit so much this summer. We saw them about once a month since June and before that, we saw them on the webcam so I don't feel like we've missed too much of her first 5 months of life. We missed seeing Uncle Dave, but we'll see him in a few weeks when we attempt the ride to NC in October. Keep your fingers crossed!
Katie put Alayna in her Brown's sleeper, which she immediately vomitted on (who can blame her! j/k), to take a picture of her and her Grandpa Jon watching the Brown's game. We had to get a picture of her and Ava in her Steeler's bib and socks together. Dave was none too happy seeing his daughter representing the Brown's team, and quickly had her change into the cutest pink sleeper with froggies on it. He was adamant about her not wearing the Brown's sleeper in the airport for the flight home! To our dismay, the Steeler's lost their game to Philadelphia, but the Brown's didn't win either, so nobody had boasting rights that day. Thank you Jon and Sue for making us feel so welcome in your home. We had a really nice time.
